Bottom Time Productions Shoot an Episode in Belize for Dive Travel TV
Belize City, Belize, Monday, January 24th, 2011 — Bottom Time writer and producer Eleanor Willis and her crew spent five days in Belize, January 15th through 19th, producing an episode for the television series Dive Travel TV.
The television crew visited Placencia where they engaged in a night-dive at Mosquito Caye, located eleven miles from Placencia. They did day-dives at Ranguana and Pompian Cayes, experiencing the splendors of the underwater world of Belize for the first time. The group was also introduced to Belizean wildlife as they toured Monkey River and saw various species of birds, iguanas, howler monkeys and crocodiles. The final leg of their itinerary took them to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, for dives at the Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Esmeralda dive sites, where they dived with nurse sharks, stingrays, turtles, and octopus, among various species of coral and fish.
Bottom Time produces the series Dive Travel TV which visits dive destinations showcasing not only the diving, but also incorporating a unique twist of highlighting the diversity of the location. Dive Travel TV airs on the cable channel Untamed Sports TV which has 24 million subscribers and the independent broadcast station in Philadelphia, WFMZ which has 7 million subscribers. Eleanor was accompanied by camera crew, Dennis Willis and Shawn Willis and hosts Robert Miracle and Andrea Ocampo.
