One of San Pedro’s prestigious and long-standing resorts, Victoria House, has reason to be in the celebratory mood all year long. Well, this year marks their 30 year anniversary after opening its doors in 1981. Today, Victoria House is a heaven for visitors to our island and the resort has transformed to the marvelous Eden it is today.
Kicking off the celebrations for this year, Victoria House honored a special employee who has been with the resort from day one! A special morning ceremony/banquet was held at Victoria House for 30-year employee Andrea Carrillo. The entire staff and management of the resort took time to honor Ms. Carrillo for her dedicated and loyal service.
“It has been 30 years since Victoria House opened its doors to the public in May of 1981 and 2011 marks another important milestone as well,” commented Brent Kirkman, of The Lancaster Group Inc.
Victoria House owners and founders Browne Rice III and Ab Fay Jr. gathered on Monday, March 7, 2011, with employees from all departments to thank Andrea Carrillo for her invaluable role in making Victoria House a success story from day one.
Ms. Andrea was named Honorary Founder of Victoria House and presented with a lovely engraved gift in appreciation of her many years of outstanding service.
“They also expressed their gratitude and affection to the many other employees, past and present, who help make Victoria House the destination of choice for so many visitors to our beautiful country,” commented Mr. Kirkman.
“As you probably know, many of the staff members at Victoria House have been here a very, long time. Andrea has been here the longest but we have two other staff members who have been here for more than 20, 15 respectively.”
Victoria House plans to continue celebrating their 30-year anniversary landmark throughout the year with special events.
