Man stabbed in the San Pedrito Area
One man is detained at the San Pedro Police Station and pending charges after having stabbed another man in the early morning hours of Thursday, April 7.

According to reports shortly after 1:00 a.m. on Thursday, Roland Ford arrived at the residence of Miguel Martinez in the San Pedrito Area and started to argue with Martinez. At the time Martinez was socializing with some friends at his residence when Ford took out a knife and attacked him. Martinez then took a machete and a struggled ensued between the two men.

Martinez managed to remove the knife away from Ford but Ford kept fighting back and that’s when Martinez inflicted several stab wounds to Ford including the arm, abdomen and neck. Ford then managed to run away and got help from neighbors. Ford received medical attention at Ambergris Hopes Clinic and was later transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for further medical attention.

Police have since detained Miguel Martinez and is pending charges.

Update:

Miguel Martinez, 31-year-old, Belizean laborer of Airstrip Area was charged for the crimes of Attempted Murder, Dangerous Harm and Use of Deadly means of harm.
