Nancy and Robert “Bobby” Pepper, from Wickenburg, Arizona, won a week’s stay at San Pedro’s most modern and luxurious beachfront resort – The Phoenix Resort, on ABC’s Live – with Regis and Kelly Morning Show. The couple won the prize on March 9 and arrived in Paradise on Wednesday, July 13 with VIP escort from the airport all the way to their two bedroom condominium.
Nancy and Robert felt like celebrities from the moment they stepped out of their Continental Airlines flight as a crew from Tropic Air personally escorted and helped them through customs and immigration. The couple was greeted with tropical drinks and Nancy was given a beautiful floral bouquet from The Phoenix.
After having registered at the front desk and warmly welcomed by the staff of the Phoenix, Ambergris Today had the privilege of meeting with this lovely couple and had a one-on-one conversation with them at their condominium at the Phoenix Resort.
“Oh my, it’s gorgeous,” stated Nancy as she stepped into her beachfront condo with a spectacular view of the Caribbean Sea. “I’m not going anywhere; I’m staying here; it’s so beautiful.”
Nancy and Bobby happily shared to us how they won this prize on the Regis and Kelly Show. “I watch the Regis and Kelly Show every day and write notes on everything,” commented Nancy. “I happened to tell my husband that I had missed writing down something about an Oscar winner, so Bobby looked it up on the internet for me and then I was called and to our surprise the question was about the Oscar winner title.”
Coming to Ambergris Caye is the first trip that Nancy has made out of her country and she and Bobby were very excited to receive their fist stamp on their new passports. The couple began researching about Belize and Ambergris Caye and when they related to their friends that they were coming here, they were told that they would never want to return home and that is exactly what Nancy said as she entered her room.
