Prince Harry to Visit Belize in 2012

Britain’s royal family will tour the globe next year to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II diamond jubilee marking 60 years on the throne, Buckingham Palace announced on Wednesday. As part of that celebration Belize will get a visit from Prince Harry in 2012.

Though no official dates have been announced yet, Prince Harry (third in line of succession behind his father Prince Charles and elder brother Prince William) will tour Belize, in addition to Jamaica and the Bahamas next year. His Uncle Prince Edward and wife Sophie are set to travel to the other Caribbean realms.

Britain’s Royal Family will travel to the British realms worldwide to celebrate Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee although the monarch will remain in the UK.

Prince William and his wife Duchess Catherine will undertake their second overseas tour with a trip to Malaysia, Singapore, Solomon Islands and Tuvalu.

The heir to the throne Prince Charles and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall will spend time in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. Charles will also go the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.

Meanwhile Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip’s daughter Princess Anne will represent the monarchy in Mozambique and Zambia while their son Prince Andrew will go to India although his daughters Princess’ Beatrice and Eugenie are not expected to accompany him.

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip will visit Wales on April 26 and 27, South West England on May 1 and 2, North London on March 29, South London on May 15 and North West England May 16 and 17. They will also undertake a visit to Scotland in July before ending the tour in North East England on July 18-19.

The Diamond Jubilee will mark 60 years of the queen’s reign.
