It was an enchanted evening of pageantry at the R. Angel Nuñez Auditorium as Miss San Pedro High 2012 was crowed in front of a packed auditorium on Saturday, June 2, 2012. Arlethe Lima won the hearts of the judges amongst six other contestants and was crowned the schools newest queen.
The pageant was full of dance and entertainment as the seven contestants did a spectacular job on stage, presenting themselves in four segments which included beach wear, cultural costumes, evening wear and for the first time a career segment where they modeled in uniforms that represent their future career aspirations.
Each contestant had her own cheering squad and the auditorium burst out into loud cheer as Arlethe Lima was crowned the new Miss San Pedro High by outgoing queen Miriam Rodriguez. Coming in second place was Kaysha Martin and Ethel Villatoro placed third. Both Miss Photogenic and Miss Congeniality were won by Nikita Coleman. The other contestants were Emily Simoes, Nissi Arzu and Fatima Reyes.
Prizes included:
First Place: One year scholarship at San Pedro High School, $250 gift certificate Rapidito Loans, 19” TV from Harmouch Center, Dinner for 2 $100 at Hidden Treasure and $100 Cash from San Pedro Hardware.
Second Place: $100 cash from Coral Cable Vision, 14” TV from Maya Hardware, 1 full day sailing for 2 to Caye Caulker by Seaduced by Belize, Dinner for 2 at Caramba Restaurant and a necklace by Ambergris Jade
Third Place: $100 cash from Caribeña Enterprises, Round trip to Belize City by San Pedro Belize Express, Lunch for 2 at Captain Morgan’s Buena Vista Restaurant and $50 cash by Wally’s Electrical Supply
