Four-month-old, Baby Marianie Tun, needs your help. Baby Marianie Tun and her mother Rosita Barredo of Chunox Village in the Corozal District came to our beautiful island seeking the help of this loving and giving community.
Baby Marianie is in desperate need of a liver transplant. She was treated at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in Belize City and was diagnosed with a liver disease called Biliary Artesia. This disease is the blockage in the tubes (ducts) that carry liquid bile from the liver to the gall bladder.
Parents of Marianie have been advised to seek medical attention abroad as she will require surgery and post-surgery care. The family is in need of financial support and is asking the community of San Pedro to kindly open their hearts and pockets and donate towards this worthy cause.
Town Councilor Kenrick Brackett will be hosting a radiothon on the Reef Radio’s Morning Show on Friday, July 13, 2012, starting at 7:00 a.m. Please kindly donate to this worthy cause and let us help save Baby Marianie Tun.
