On Saturday, September 29, 2012, at about 9:05 p.m. San Pedro Police received information about a traffic accident on Almond Street. Upon arrival at the scene SP Police found a four seater, purple golf cart with license plate SPC 852 in the middle of the street with a Hispanic female lying on the golf cart screaming for help.
According to reports, the female was driving from a northerly towards a southerly direction when she lost control of the golf cart causing her to swerve to the left side of the street during which she fell off the golf cart.
Bystanders assisted the female until police and a doctor arrived at the scene. Dr. Giovanni Solorzano tended to the driver’s injuries, was then placed on a stretcher and taken to Dr. Solorzano’s medical clinic for treatment. The female driver sustained neck injuries and minor cuts and scrapes on her body. Police are still investigating the matter.
