The San Pedro Town Council and UNICEF have teamed up for a Clean Up Campaign which will take place on Monday, December 17 and Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at the San Mateo Area. Representatives of UNICEF Mrs. Anna Hoare and Dennise Robateau were on the island to promote the cleanup campaign and invite the entire community to participate in this activity.
An official opening ceremony will take place on Monday, December 17, 2012, at 9:00 a.m. and the cleanup will follow immediately after the official ceremonies. Representatives of UNICEF will be on hand to do demonstrations and training on water sanitation. UNICEF will officially be donating 50 garbage bins for the area as well as trash bags.
Island residents are encouraged to commence separating their garbage and to come on out and be a part of this cleanup campaign and to learn about proper water sanitation and living in a healthy environment.
