Miss Turismo International Panama 2012, Cleirys Velasquez, has been confirmed to represent her country as Miss Panama Costa Maya at the Reina de la Costa Maya Pageant that will be taking place at the International Costa Maya Festival in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize.
Nineteen-year-old Cleirys Elizabeth Velásquez Ríos represented Panama at the 2012 Miss Tourism International in Malaysia, placing in the top 10. She was Miss Teen Panama in 2009 and will proudly represent her country at this year’s Costa Maya Festival.
Cleirys stands 5’ 7” tall, is a marketing student, has brown eyes and brown hair. She enjoys reading, volleyball and going to the beach. Miss Panama now joins Destinee Arnold – Belize, Andrea Rojas – Costa Rica and Monica Elwing Gough – Honduras. All other Mundo Maya countries and Central American region have confirmed their participation at the pageant and the four remaining contestants will be announced shortly.
