The San Pedro Dr. Otto Rodriquez Poly Clinic is pleased to announce that the new X-ray facility is complete and already providing services at the clinic as of this week. The Government of Belize/Ministry of Health had taken some meaningful steps in the past 12 months to improve the hours and the care at the clinic.
The new x-ray machine was provided by the Ministry of Health and it was the initiative of the San Pedro BTIA (Belize Tourism Industry Association) branch to complete the construction of the x-ray room, install the x-ray equipment, and enable the clinic to offer x-ray services to patients. It was through the collaborative efforts and kind donation from the San Pedro BTIA and private businesses/services that the facility was completed.
Mr. Owen Vellos, Administrator at the San Pedro Dr. Otto Rodriquez Poly Clinic, told Ambergris Today that the X-ray machine is fully functioning and that the new facility is providing services on a daily basis to test out the demand for the medical machine.
