Daredevil Boys Captured on Video Jumping Across San Pedro Rooftops

When you see this video, you will have one reaction and many others will have a different one. “This is pretty cool,” someone might say while others might say, “Oh my God, these children are crazy!” Some might immediately start blaming their parents, while others will praise such daring acts.

But there is great concern as these children were seen jumping from rooftop to rooftop from buildings in downtown San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. They were tempting fate and putting their lives at risk.

There is no doubt that these kids were prompted to do this due to curiosity. Curiosity is the mother of inventions. Curiosity is also what prompts young people to investigate and ask many questions and learn many things. But curiosity also killed the cat. Indeed this kind of curiosity you are witnessing can lead to serious consequences. Kids are known to have caused big fires due to their curiosity in experimenting with matches, lighters, and other such objects.

We are grateful to Mr. Ricky Manzano for sharing this video in which he prompts the question:  “Do you know what your children are doing?” This is our main trend of thought, because this daring act can have serious consequences. Parents should always know where their children are and what they are supposedly doing.

Good parenting asks of parents to monitor their activities in and out of the house with their safety in mind. So while kids will be kids, it is worthy to remember that an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure. Fortunately this daring incident did not end in tragedy. Therefore let it be a good example and an eye opener for all that kids will continue to be kids and do these seemingly senseless acts, but it is also up to loving parents to educate them about their well being and personal safety.
