San Pedro Mayor Daniel Guerrero and Residents Take on Ice Bucket Challenge

We have seen all the viral videos online from around the world in which people have taken up the Ice Bucket Challenge as a way of making awareness of ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis —also referred to as motor neurone disease). Well the craze has already reached San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize and there are some prominent people getting dumped with ice water.

In the latest video posts, San Pedro Mayor Daniel Guerrero, Deputy Mayor Gabriel Nuñez, Town Forman Freddie Gonzalez have taken up the challenge and posted videos of themselves being dumped on with ice water. They took up the challenge after they were nominated to support the worthy cause. They are amongst the many who have done the ice bucket challenge and donated towards the ALS foundation.

* The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is an activity that involves dumping a bucket of ice water on one’s head or donating to the ALS Association in the United States. People are normally getting wet and donating at the same time in show of support and also to encourage others to do the same. The videos went viral due to social media and people throughout the world, including celebrities are taking on the challenge. After being nominated it is expected for the nominee to perform the challenge within 24 hours.
