IDB Introduces ConnectAmericas, new Internet-based network to help Belizean companies go global

The Belize Trade and Investment Development Service (BELTRAIDE) is facilitating a mission from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the presentation of a new digital social networking platform to help companies, particularly small and medium-size businesses throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, expand to international markets.

ConnectAmericas, dedicated to promoting foreign trade and international investment, will afford Belizean businesses to opportunity to connect with clients, suppliers and investors throughout the region and all across the globe.

Membership in the social networking platform is free and allows individuals and companies to take online courses, learn about financing options, access databases with useful trade data, and build business relationships with trustworthy international contacts,

ConnectAmericas was created by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), with support from companies such as Google, DHL, Visa and Alibaba.com in operation since late March, the site already has 8,200 registered members and nearly 40,000 unique visitors.
