On January 13, 2015, the Ministry of Human Development Social Transformation and Poverty Alleviation office in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize had a visit from the organization On Eagles Wings Ministries and Belize board member for OEWM Miss San Pedro Michelle Nuñez, who surprised the staff by giving the office a needed makeover.
Emily Fitchpatrik founder and president of On Eagles Wings Ministries (OEWM) stated to Ambergris Today that they took the task of the renovation project to make the office look more welcoming and provide a comfortable environment for residents needing the services of the Ministry.
“Before the renovations the office was just four plain walls,” commented Emily. “But now they have a private office for the head social worker Mr. Adan Kay, a comfortable section for the head counselor Mrs. Pamela Killen and a fun children’s corner.

The Social Services Office deals with family issues, child protection services, counseling, at risk youths, among other social issues. The office is located at the Four Sisters Plaza on Pescador Drive, next to Elvi’s Kitchen.
OEWB is a non-profit organization seeking to prevent females from falling victim to sex trafficking; offer assistance to those still trapped, and restore those who have survived by offering hope, empowerment, and a brighter future. They focus on prevention, outreach, aftercare, and empowerment.
