TripAdvisor named Ambergris Caye as the #1 Island in the World for two consecutive years (2013 & 2014) and Belizeans could not be more ecstatic to celebrate. The pressure to hold on to that title for another year was great and although it was probably time to say goodbye at the turn of the new year, Belizeans wanted to hold on to the glory a bit longer.
But come 2015, TripAdvisor has listed San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize, in second place on their most recent listing for the Top 10 Destinations in Central America, bested by Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. We are happy to report that Belize made it twice on the list with San Ignacio in the Cayo District also placing on the #10 spot.
