During the summer break, Ambergris Caye Elementary School (A.C.E.S.) came across some unexpected repairs. When the school was in need, Grand Caribe Belize, a luxury resort specializing in condo rentals, came to the rescue. Grand Caribe Belize aided A.C.E.S. by donating almost 30 gallons of exterior paint and 15 gallons of acrylic and oil based paints.
Earlier in June, Blue Water Grill presented a check of $1,484.00 towards Ambergris Caye Elementary School (ACES)’s scholarship program for children with disabilities. This was as part of the restaurant’s ‘Monthly Donation Program’. During the month of May, the restaurant’s customers donated $782.00 which BWG matched 100%. Blue Water Grill also announced that an anonymous donor from Houston made contact with them, pledging to donate an additional $3,000 to the ACES program for special needs children.

“We want to thank the staff and owners of Blue Water for their heartfelt support of Ambergris Caye Elementary School and our Special Needs Program,” commented Sara Freudenberg, Special Education Teacher at ACES. “Without your support and the support of others just like you ACES could not provide the quality of education we strive to achieve. Thank you so much for your support.”
“We would like to give a big thank you to the volunteer group we were blessed with, continued Sara. “They helped to accomplish many projects here at school including organizing the library, placing and outside sink as well as building our new ramp. A.C.E.S. would like to thank Grand Caribe Belize for supporting the school and helping in their efforts to provide a Quality Child Friendly School.”
