Art – the expression of human’s creative skill and imagination. On Saturday, October 17, 2015, Belizean Artist Rony Jobel hosted his first-ever solo art exhibit “Silence of Emotion” at the Image Factory in Belize City.
The private event hosted by the young and talented Rony Jobel was a night to celebrate and appreciate his beautiful and emotional creations of art that surrounded the venue. Ambergris Today’s Gerry Badillo was present to show support of the exhibit and interview Mr. Jobel.
1. Why the name “The Silence of Emotion” for your first art Exhibition? “The Silence Of Emotion was the name chosen for my exhibit because I wanted to express my feelings; the feelings of other people and feelings of things that are taken for granted, for example plants and animals.”
2. What was your inspiration? “My inspiration was the mystery of things that people don’t express – sexual preference, domestic violence and love. “
3. I noticed the theme of conservation in your art; elaborate your point of view on that? “Conservation had a part in the exhibit because people need to be aware that plants nor animals are to be taken for granted because they all have a purpose in this life.”
