Ambergris Today met up with Tiburon Rum’s Basil Destefano and got the buzz on what’s coming up next for the award-winning rum from Belize. Mr. Destefano mention that he is ready to take Tiburon Rum to the next level by teaming up with Mr. Jorge Galbis of Global Brand Equity Solutions from Miami who specializing in marketing premium brands to develop their root to market in Central America, Latin America, the Caribbean and duty free outlets.

Mr. Galbis told Ambergris Today that he is proud to take on Tiburon Rum because the rum category is growing. “Tiburon rum has a great halo, the liquid is good, packaging is spectacular and the concept is really fun, also the culture behind it is amazing,” stated Galbis. “Most of the rums out there are a bit generic with the name of a country or the name of a person, but Tiburon Rum does not and this is a great plus for it to stand out in the international market.”
The world class rum that comes from the Belize’s very own Travellers Liquors will now be circling globally and receiving huge amounts of exposure, not only for the brand but also to Belize – a definite plus for tourism as well. Look out for Tiburon Rum coming soon to Dominican Republic, Mexico, United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Italy, Asia, Australia, Japan and some cruise ships.
