The San Pedro Police Department does not suspect any foul play in the discovery of a dead body found at the south entrance of the San Pablo Area about 1.5 miles south of San Pedro Town, today Tuesday, December 22, 2015.
The body of 72-year-old Elijio Lino, was discovered today after a foul smell was noticed coming from a property just behind Ambergris Lake Villas. Police suspect that Lino died of natural causes and the body will be inspected by medical officers on the island before it will be buried, due to the advanced state of decomposition.
Passersby and residents of the area immediately expressed their sympathy for the senior citizen who could be seen sitting by the side of the road daily.
