It was an evening to remember for the graduating class of San Pedro High School 2016 as the class celebrated its Prom on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at El Patio Restaurant in downtown San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. Prom is huge in San Pedro – streets are blocked, traffic is re-routed and hundreds of spectators line the side of the streets to witness the glamour and magical evening.
Celebrated under the theme “An Enchanted Night”, it took the senior class of SPHS about two hours to complete a ‘purple carpet’ walk into El Patio, with wild entrances that included a security guard, tons of confetti, floats, Belize Coast Guard escort, street dancers, a fire truck, male-carried chariot and even pyrotechnics. YUP! That’s prom night in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye.
