Saturday, June 11, 2016, the R. Angel Nunez Auditorium witnessed a historic graduation for San Pedro High School. Three very significant achievements highlighted this year’s ceremony, one which included the graduation of 96 students who marched up the aisle of the school’s auditorium, making this the largest class ever to graduate from this prestigious institution.
Another historic achievement announced by Principal Vasquez was that Valedictorian Virginia Vasquez completed her final year with a perfect average 4.0GPA.
Finally, former principal Angel Nunez stepped up to announce the completion of three generations of graduates at the high school. The honor graduates include Odilia Nunez Salazar, daughter Zinnia Salazar Gomez and grandson Sergio Gomez Salazar (pictured on headline). This historic achievement took 45 years (1971-2016) and much courage, perseverance, determination and love. Nuñez congratulated San Pedro High and challenged the administration and staff to continue the good tradition by treating students as their very own children.
Salutatorian for the graduation was Elladira Garcia; Guest Speaker was Mrs. Giselle Lobos Flores and Delmi Garcia offered the Vote of Thanks.
