Solani Graniel, of San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, will be representing Belize at the Miss Caribbean Roots pageant which will be held from June 21 – 26, 2016 during the 43rd annual Folkloric, Sports and Culture Festival of the Providencia and Santa Catalina Islands in Colombia.
“Well I set off to my first international pageant and what can I say, it has definitely been a roller coaster getting everything prepared and I want to thank everyone who has helped me and especially sponsored me!” stated Solani on her Facebook profile. “I take off to represent the most beautiful country in my eyes Belize. I’m super excited to see what awaits me and I hope to make Belize proud. I’ll do my best to post pics on FB! Colombia get ready Belize is coming!
Solani was crowned Miss San Pedro back in 2013 and currently holds the title of Miss San Pedro Lions Queen 2016-2017. She departs for Colombia today, Friday, June 17; let’s all wish her luck.
