On Thursday, October 10th, 2016 residents gathered at the Lions Den as the San Pedro Town Council held a pubic consolation based on a local economic development strategic plan for San Pedro Town. This program falls under CARILED- Caribbean Local Economic Development Project that is coordinated by Leidi Urbina here in Belize.
On Thursday, October 10th, 2016 residents gathered at the Lions Den as the San Pedro Town Council held a pubic consolation based on a local economic development strategic plan for San Pedro Town. This program falls under CARILED- Caribbean Local Economic Development Project that is coordinated by Leidi Urbina here in Belize.
Mayor Daniel Guerrero along with Leidi Urbina gave an overview on what this project is and how they plan to accomplish it. Mayor Danny stated, “With the help and support of the local business anything can be accomplished, we will do our part as long as they do theirs.”
Many business owners and locals who were present gave their opinion on the projects overview to reduce Styrofoam, Plastic, and other materials that are harmful to the environment and replace those with green products such as Eco showers, Solar powered hotels and vehicles, Eco Friendly paint, begin recycling and much more. The main goal is to become a Green Friendly Environment.
Jorge Aldana not only Master of Ceremonies for this occasion but local economic development organizer gave his fare share on how San Pedro and Business Owners as well as citizens can benefit from this project.
