Over 100 mothers gathered at the Hon. Louis Sylvester Sports Complex on Saturday, May 6, 2017, as the San Pedro Town Council organized a special celebration in commemoration of Mother’s Day.
While being entertained by the San Pedro Dance Academy, Yaka’s Elite Dancers and Comedians: Local internet/social media sensation Jennifer Burrows from Belize City and Tila Maria Sesto from Merida, Yucatan, mothers were being treated to food and drinks.
Most definitely can’t forget that the happy and excited mothers were also a part of the show. Whether they had to shake their hips, feed one another or work with each other, the evening was filled with laughter from the audience. There were also tons of gifts for the participants.
At the end of the night the New Mother of the Year was announced. Congratulations to Maria Elena Alamilla, Mother of the Year 2017 who was crowned by outgoing Mother of the Year 2016 Estela Munoz.
