Kiah Pastor of Belmopan City was crowned Miss Teen Belize 2017 at the first ever Miss Teen Belize Pageant held at the Mahogany Bay Village, on Saturday, May 27, 2017.
Residents and family members gathered to support their favorite candidate. A total of four contestants from different parts of the country competed for the crown: Vineesha Price of Belize City, Kiah Pastor of Belmopan, Grace Brown of San Pedro and Julene García of Toledo.
With their graciousness and lovely smiles they took the stage with confidence as they competed in the different segments which included: Opening dance and Introduction, Costume Competition, Swim Wear, Evening Gown and Question & Answer.
It was a tough competition but there could only be one winner. In the end Miss Julene Garcia won Miss Photogenic, Miss Grace Brown won Miss Congeniality and was First runner up. Miss Kiah Pastor was announced as the newest Miss Teen Belize.
Shortly after the winner was announced, outgoing queen Vivian Noralez made an announcement that shocked everyone. Miss Kiah Pastor will be representing Belize at the Miss Teen Earth Pageant in Ecuador and First runner up Grace Brown will represent Belize at the Miss Teen International Pageant in Panama.
The crowd couldn’t be happier with the announcement at a beauty pageant enjoyed by everyone. Congrats to all the girls and kudos to the pageant director who is no other than out going 19-year-old Miss Teen Belize Vivian Noralez.
Vivian was chosen to compete at the Miss Teen Earth International Pageant in Panama in 2016. She came home with the title of Miss Petite Earth 2016 and has then taken the task to find representatives to send to this pageant for the years to come. She will also be traveling to Ecuador to pass on her international title.
