Beyond Borders Medical Mission Trip was organized by Dr. Daniel Buscaglia of the Cosmetic Vein and Laser Center in Buffalo, New York. To commemorate his 20 years of service Dr. Buscaglia organized a medical trip to “give back” instead of having a luxurious party or dinner. A team consisting of four doctors, 8 medical assistants and 12 ancillary staff are in the island at the San Pedro Lions Den rendering their services to the people of San Pedro.
The Beyond Borders Medical Team got permission from the Ministry of Health to conduct this clinic and they partnered up with the San Pedro Lions Club where they got a total of 150 appointments. Although appointments were made “walk-ins” are still welcomed. The team made lots of sacrifices and fundraising to get 18 suitcases of medical supplies to help the people of Belize with skin cancer, skin infections, ulcers, severe eczema and STD’s.
At the end of day three a total of 210 patients had been seen by the doctors.
