The National Celebration Commission is excited to announce the winning theme for the 2018 September Celebrations.
The competition was open to all Belizeans living at home or abroad. Persons were encouraged to enter the competition with multiple entries which should not be more than ten (10) words. The winner receives a cash prize of $1000 and a Special Invitation to the Official Ceremonies during September.
This year there were 196 themes submitted by 70 contestants. The winning theme of the 2018 September Celebrations, in commemoration of the 220th Anniversary of the Battle of St. George’s Caye and the 37th Anniversary of Belize’s Independence, was submitted by Corozal resident Fernanda Tun.
