Police are now investigating the death of Miguel Arroyo who was reported missing on Monday, September 10, 2018, when he failed to return home after leaving for the store. Twelve days later his body was found in a shallow grave north of San Pedro Town.
An official Police Report stated that after receiving information on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at around 1 p.m., police visited a lagoon area about 1 ½ mile north of San Pedro Town. In some bushes approximately 75 feet from the lagoon they found the decomposed body of Miguel Angel Arroyo Hernandez.
Due to the state of decomposition in which the body was found, an on-site postmortem examination was carried out and medical examiner certified the cause of death as a result of injuries to the head. Police have launched a full investigation into Arroyo’s death. Miguel was laid to rest on Sunday, September 23, 2018.
