Scouts Pay Courtesy Visit to Belize Governor General

The Scouts Association of Belize made a courtesy visit to the Scout Patron of the Scout Association, His Excellency, Sir Colville N Young, Governor General of Belize on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. The Scout Association’s delegation was headed by Mr. Armando Aban, President of the Association, where he introduced himself to the Scout Patron, The Governor General Sir Colville N. Young. During his visit at Belize House, the President informed the Governor General of the status of the Association, plans for Membership Expansion, the Association’s finances, and the plans to improve Camp Oakley, the national camping and training grounds of The Scout Association of Belize.

The Scout Patron expressed to the Scout Delegation his commitment to the Scout Movement in Belize and pledged his continued support as he has always done for the past two decades and a half. The President was accompanied by Aliza Vasquez, Director of Support Services, Nepthali Palma, Director of Program, Roberto Lopez, Director of Education and Fernando Oliva, National Scouts Commissioner.
