David Gonzalez, has been detained at the San Pedro Police Department pending murder investigations on the death of 28-year-old Marisela Gonzalez. The semi-nude, lifeless body of Marisela was discovered on Marina Drive, Monday, October 12, 2020, about 9:15a.m., 50 yards from Marina Drive on the road heading to the dump site area.
The lifeless body of a Hispanic female lying face down on the right hand side of the road with an apparent gunshot wound to the body. Marisela was identified by her husband David Gonzalez who had made a report of her disappearance to the police. Sources reveal that on Sunday, October 11, 2020, he and his wife were socializing at secret beach area when they got into an argument. On their way back to town upon passing the Boca Del Rio Bridge she got off the golf cart and he continued home and did not see her from then.
The scene was processed and the body was transported to San Pedro Polyclinic where Dr. Luceli Molina pronounced her dead at 11:57am. David Gonzalez was detained and his fire arm was seized. Gonzalez is a prime suspect of the murder as police found traces of blood in his vehicle at their residence. Police believe that the crime took place at their home and her body was transported to the dump site.
UPDATE: Wednesday, October 14, 2020, San Pedro Police formally arrested and charged David Gonzalez for the crime of Murder in reference to the death of Marisela Gonzalez.
