Last week World Pediatric Project (WPP) embarked on a joint venture with Jefferson Facial Plastics for their annual Pediatric Plastics Mission in Belize. Dr. Howard Krein and his team evaluated 28 pediatric patients and performed 16 transformational surgeries.
Belize Specialists Hospital (Belize G.I.) provided their facility free of costs to World Pediatric Project so that the children of Belize could receive surgeries. Their facility has the only ISO certified theater in the country with the capacity of doing these surgeries. Their staff worked non-stop, around the clock to facilitate the Dr. Krein and his team.

Noteworthy, Dr. Howard Krein has been traveling to Belize, through WPP for over 10 years. He is the son-in-law to the United States President, Joe Biden. This year he arrived accompanied with Secret Service who we were told really enjoyed our delicious Belizean Rice and Beans. Chef Jennie Staines, of Elvi’s Kitchen, was invited to cook for the team before they left the country.
