Every year the Ministry of Education sets aside March as Child Stimulation Month and like clockwork it kicks off with pre-school children doing a small parade on the first day of March.
Child Stimulation Month creates awareness to parents and the entire society that early childhood education is essential. The pre-schools encourage parents to get involved in the activities along with their children because it helps with the child’s development.
This year’s theme is “Early Childhood Education: Start Early – Aim High!” under which many educational activities will take place to broaden the minds of the children. Activities will include Hug Day, Grandparent’s Day, Sports Day, Cultural Day, among others leading to the closing parade.
