It was a full house at the Angel Nuñez Auditorim on Friday, December 18, 2015, for the annual Boxes of Joy fashion show/toy drive themed “The Future is Gold”.
The show kicked off with a beautiful Christmas introduction skit by Vellie Del Valle leading to the commencement of the cutest children strutting down the runway wearing the latest trends for the holidays.
Founder of Boxes of Joy Shantel Pascasio and Francisco Mendez mentioned that this was indeed another successful show and are even happier because they have broken their record of 800 gifts collected through the foundation and can now provide many more toys for the children this Christmas. Ms. Pascasio also mentioned that she had some extra gifts which where given to the Cornerstone Foundation in San Ignacio, Cayo. Boxes of Joy thanks the Leo’s Club for helping out during the show and the Salinas Family for donating $800 worth of toys.
Ambergris Today congratulates Boxes of Joy and its team of helpers for making this another year of success show. The toys collected and bought with funds raised will be distributed to less fortunate children on the island before Christmas.
