Keeping your New Year’s Resolution

It is that time again – to break into a New Year and everyone is ready for a change in themselves and doing so with New Year’s resolutions. But most of these resolutions, or attempts at it, usually last only two to three months after ringing in the New Year. So how do you keep your resolutions? For me, I don’t really have any resolutions because I don’t really see any point to it. If I would like to change something in myself I would do it no matter what is the time.

But for those who challenge themselves with one at every turn of the New Year, well the answer is simple. All you have to do is keep pushing yourself to accomplish what you want. The problem comes when you start to get a little lazy and you are ready to give up, but don’t feel bad it’s not really your own fault it’s just human nature.

So how is it possible to overcome this? First you will have to find a resolution that you really want to do and make sure to know what you goal is. A lot of times it’s a mental battle so you have to force and fight your brain to aim for what you have set your goals for. Let’s say your New Year’s resolution is to start exercising. You will first have to set what you want to accomplish from the exercise and then focus on that goal and set your mind to aim for it.

Once you have decided what your resolution will be, I encourage all of you to accomplish it. It is a great feeling to accomplish your set goals and it’s is only more encouraging to set more and higher goals for yourself. So by this time next year you have that amazing feeling of satisfaction. So go and aim for your goal and don’t let anything stop you!

Have a Happy New Year and Enjoy 2014!
