Christmas time is here, time for joy, time for cheer! The San Pedro AIDS Commission is holding a toy drive, collecting toys to give away to the children in the San Mateo and Boca del Rio Area. The AIDS Commission will be joining the San Pedro Lions Club on December 23 for their annual Christmas Caroling and to hand out the toys.
“We want to bring smiles to children this Christmas. So we are joining the Lions in the caroling. We are collecting toys to give out to the children of particular areas of San Pedro,” commented Felix Ayuso, President of SP AIDS Commission, to Ambergris Caye. “We are also partnering with Mr. Wil Moreno of Belize City who does an annual event for children named: A Christmas Giving. He is providing the AIDS Commission with a couple of boxes of stuffed toys and baby clothing so we can distribute.”
The San Pedro AIDS Commission is appealing to everyone to drop off a toy at the “Toy Drop” located at the office of the San Pedro Town Council or contact AIDS members Chalo (cell # 630-0721), Nita (Cell # 620-7120) or Tammy (623-6921).
“A Christmas Giving”
The Belize Association of California is once again conducting their annual Charity Drive, “A Christmas Giving”. They are teaming up with the members of the San Pedro Aids Commission to collect and distribute in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye.
Your contributions can help to provide new or used clothes, toys, books and gifts to children of Belize as they prepare for the wonderful season of giving – “Christmas”. Our partnership will allow children of families who are less fortunate to be blessed with a gift and help put smiles upon their faces. This is a great opportunity for the kids to feel the Spirit and Love of Christmas and a great opportunity for you to make a difference.
Economic times have fallen hard on everyone and the Belize Association of California understands that things are definitely no better in Belize. This undertaking was put forth because The Belize Association of California saw the need and strongly believes that every child deserves to feel the joy of Christmas.

Deadline for toys to be dropped off or collected is Thursday, December 23 in the afternoon. So let’s all chip in and spread the Christmas cheer to the children of these areas, buy a toy, it doesn’t have to be an expensive one, and be a part of the San Pedro AIDS Commission Toy Drive/ A Christmas Giving.
