Miss Universe Belize, Isabella Zabaneh, is not just representing Belize on the global stage, she’s planning her future one, too. And yes, you read that right: she wants to become Belize’s next Prime Minister.
In a candid and surprisingly down-to-earth “Get Ready With Me” video she posted on her Facebook page, Isabella casually shared that her long-term goal is to serve Belize at the highest level of leadership. And the more she talked, the more it made sense.
This woman is 21, has a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies and Political Science, and is only one class away from completing her Master’s in Professional Communications. Meanwhile, at 21, most of us were still deciding what flavor of Ideal was “adult.” (No shame, it’s always coconut.)

But Isabella didn’t stop there. The video was full of small joys and personality, the kind of things that remind you she’s still a full Belizean girl at heart.
She talked about:
- Her love for music
- Traveling and the beach (obviously)
- Baking (yes, she’s a sweets girl)
- And her go-to snack: garnachas with ketchup, which instantly makes her one of us.
While she blended foundation and lined her lashes, she let us see a side of her that was warm, funny, human. It wasn’t a pageant speech, it was a Belizean girl getting ready for the day, dreaming big and inviting us to dream with her.
Her caption sealed it beautifully:
“Get to know me while I get ready! To all my new followers, thank you so so much. You following along and joining me on this journey makes my heart so full! I don’t just want to be someone you follow, so consider me a friend!” – Miss Universe Belize, Isabella Zabaneh
We love a beauty queen.
We especially love a beauty queen with ambition.
But we really love a beauty queen who sees Belize’s future and wants to lead it.
Whether she comes home with the Miss Universe crown, a sash, or simply the world’s respect, one thing’s for sure: Isabella Zabaneh is a force. And the future of Belize is looking pretty inspiring. ✨🇧🇿
