Condolences to Family of Don Flavio Vasquez

Friends and relatives of the late Flavio Vasquez pay their last respect and lay his body to rest eternally at the San Pedro Cemetery today September 1, 2011.  He will be sadly missed and of course remembered with much fondness.  Don Flavio was a fisherman and founding member of Caribeña Fishing Cooperative who concentrated his efforts in the catching and processing of conch.

A very jovial man, he played his guitar with adroitness and sang rancheras and romantic ballads with gusto.  He will be remembered by many as the friendly man who sat at his veranda and smiled and greeted everyone with cordiality. Most of all Mr. Vasquez was the center of attention and star at the annual senior citizens party given by the San Pedro Lions Club, where he danced the night away and delighted everyone.  San Pedro will sincerely miss this friend, father, grandfather, uncle and father-in-law.

Ambergris Today extends sincere condolences to Hon. Manuel Heredia and Mrs. Carmelita Heredia, daughter of Don Flavio Vasquez, and to other immediate family members and relatives.  We join you in your suffering and offer our prayers for the eternal repose of his soul.  May he rest in peace.
