This Sunday, the 11th of December, please attend a fabulous fundraising event at Pedro’s Inn, benefitting LIBERTY CHILDREN’S HOME. There will be live music, fabulous bar-b-q, a jump-a-thon, free use of the pool all day …. please come and help make it a GREAT event!!
Liberty provides healing and shelter to abandoned, abused and neglected children from all over the country of Belize. Liberty is supported almost entirely by private donations. With current economic difficulties it’s harder and harder to raise money for even the most deserving of projects. Liberty needs your help.
Last year the Liberty fundraiser at Pedro’s brought in about $17,000 Bze for the kids at Liberty. This year we hope to do as well – but we can only do it if we have your support!
Proceeds will go for one special Christmas gift per child (spending $100 Bz per child, and having a generous discount on purchase price from the store); a cash Christmas bonus for each dedicated caregiver, site staffer and teacher at Liberty; and a deposit at BEL for payment of ongoing power bills for the home. This is all important, all wonderful and all needed. It will only be possible if you pitch in.
Starting Sunday at 11:30 AM at Pedro’s Inn: Live music! Fantastic Bar-B-Q! There will also be a jump-a-thon with students from Island Academy, with some of the Liberty children joining in. Kids for Kids – it doesn’t get much better than that!!
There will also be a silent auction of fabulous items ……. a sample list of things available for bids is below — there will be even more than you see on this list, so why not do your Christmas shopping at the auction, buying one or more of these prizes as gifts!
Buy some Bar-B-Q tickets —- give them to your staff, your friends and neighbors. Come to the party and bid on prizes at auction. Drink a few beverages, knowing that 20% of your bar-tab will go to the cause.

In addition, we’re going to launch our 2nd Annual Facebook Fan Drive shortly. For every facebook fan of our 5 businesses at noon on Christmas Eve, we’ll donate $1 to Liberty. Last year, we donated $3,000 through this drive alone. If we get to 6,000 fans (we have 4,000 right now), we’ll double our donation, which would mean a minimum of $12,000 for Liberty. If you’re on facebook, keep your eyes out for this in the next few days.
