Belize City, Belize – October 12, 2011 – The Belize Tourism Board proudly represented Belize at the 18th Annual Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association Conference (FCCA), which was held in San Juan, Puerto Rico from October 3rd – 7th. Belize was represented by BTB’s Marketing Director, Ms. Yanick Dalhouse and BTB’s Travel Trade Manager, Ms. Michelle Bowers.
The FCCA fosters a better understanding of the cruise industry and its operating practices and aids in building cooperative relationships with its partner destinations. It also develops productive bilateral partnerships with every sector. The FCCA works with governments, ports and all private/public sector representatives to maximize cruise passenger, cruise line and cruise line employee spending, and the amount of cruise passengers returning to our country as stay-over visitors.
Throughout the conference, the BTB had the opportunity to meet with representatives from various Cruise Lines such as Christopher Allen from Royal Caribbean, Jennifer Marmanillo from Norwegian Cruise, David Candib from Carnival Corporation and Lisa Jensen from Princess Cruises.
“This is a great opportunity for delegates such as us to meet colleagues from various destinations and cruise executives,” comments Marketing Director, Yanick Dalhouse. “We are happy to play a part and we look forward to strengthening our relationships with the FCCA and its Member Lines even more in the future.”
