November 7, 2013 – Prime Minister Dean Barrow underwent surgery on his back on Wednesday, November 6 to alleviate chronic back pain he suffers as a result of three herniated disks on his spine. The surgery took two and a half hours at the DISC Sports & Spine Center in Newport, California. All went well with the surgery, and shortly after the surgery he was alert and even able to walk.
The Prime Minister expresses great gratitude to all well-wishers and those who kept him in their prayers. Various church services conducted across the country kept him in mind especially those conducted by Bishop Philip Wright and Canon Leroy Flowers.
Prime Minister Barrow is expected to be back in the country, as scheduled, on Thursday, November 14, 2013.
