San Pedro Junior Sailing Club Tops Corozal Bay Regatta

In the heels of a great performance by a few sailors in a regatta in Mexico last month, the San Pedro Junior Sailing Club had an excellent outcome this past weekend at the Corozal Bay Regatta with the local club taking the three top spots.

It was the club’s first regatta of the season in Belize as the sailors headed to Corozal Town where they proved to be in peak performance. Blanca Velasquez, Kevin Velasquez and Faith Noel took the top position in the regatta; first, second and third place respectively.

Other San Pedro Junior Sailing Club sailors placed in the following spots: Jerdon Anderson 4th place, Davin Puc 5th place, Christian Trejo 7th place, Samantha Velasquez 12th place, Beverly Medrano18th place, Katie Maxson 23rd place, Kenny Velasquez 29th place, Gabbi Knox 34th place, Kathryn Salinas 40th place. All the sailors did a great job in representing their club outside of San Pedro; congratulations to all of them!

New sailing lessons are starting this weekend at the Holiday Hotel at 1:00p.m. Interested sailors are invited at that time to signup.
