Their flags waving onboard the Seaduced by Belize catamaran at the Hol Chan Marine Reserve last week gave them away. Both the Discovery Channel and Animal Plant’s flags were flown onboard the catamaran as their group visited the marine reserve.
As Belize’s popularity keeps growing, we keep on seeing a huge presence of television networks as they film, take pictures and make documentaries in and around the country of Belize. Hollywood celebrities are being spotted on a regular basis and seeing a camera crew on the streets is nothing new anymore.
But as we understand, the Discovery Group was not on Ambergris Caye filming, but were in the country last week on a corporate entertainment event. They were rewarding their highest paying customers from Latin America; they were all from Brazil. Discovery arranged the trip via Absolute Belize and spent three nights at Belcampo and flew up with Tropic via private charter. From Ambergris Caye they then left for Caye Caulker and flew back over to the Great Blue Hole of Belize.

Just this past week the Huff Post Travel section listed Ambergris Caye, Belize as one of the “15 Places To Go Before They Get Famous”. The post mentions that Belize is set to become Central America’s newest hotspot, making Ambergris Caye its crowning destination.
