Raquel Guevara Avila has been chosen to represent her country as Miss Costa Rica Costa Maya at the Reina de la Costa Maya Pageant that will be taking place during the International Costa Maya Festival in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize on Thursday, August 7, 2014.
At 18 years of age and standing 5’ 6” tall, Raquel Guevara has black eyes and black hair. She is a Systems Engineer Student at La Universidad Latina de Costa Rics; she loves cooking running and spending time with friends and family. Raquel participated in the 2014 Reinas de Costa Rica Pageant was 4th Runner Up winning her the title of Miss Costa Rica Costa Maya.
Raquel Guevara Avila joind Miss Belize Grisel Carballo, Miss Nicaragua Katherine Guadamuz, Miss Panama Karol Salinas, Miss El Salvador Ana Graciela and Miss Honduras Maria Jose Alvarado. The other Mundo Maya countries and Central American region have confirmed their participation at the pageant and the remaining two contestants will be announced in weeks to come, prior to their arrival to San Pedro, La Isla Bonita.
