Travellers Liquors Unveils New Flavored Belizean Rum

September is here and what better way to celebrate than with Travellers brand new “Belizean Rum”. The Belizean distillery just added a new flavor to its line of gold rum which they claim to be their best taste yet. The new rum hit stores countrywide today for Belizeans and visitors to enjoy during the country’s patriotic celebrations.

At a media conference held at the company’s headquarters in Belize City on Wednesday, September 3, 2014, Travellers held the official unveiling of their new rum. “The Belizean Rum has come a long way and a lot of hard work has been put behind in making this rum, from the design to formulating the rum,” stated Travellers chemist Mr. Jose Reyes. “This is not a premium aged rum; it’s a premium rum. Selected from the most mature and finest aged barrels used to blend and flavor.”

Amanda Perdomo of Travellers Liquors stated that the distillery made Belizean Rum in the 80’s and 90’s; the proof is in the old labels that still exist today in the museum. The company recently discovered some barrels of aged Belizean Rum in their barrel room and decided to get busy working on this new blend for the new rum, which they decided to keep the original name “Belizean Rum”.

This new rum is very patriotic, with its label portraying four different scenarios of our beautiful country Belize such as the great Blue Hole, Xunantunich Maya Ruin, Paslow Building and the Jaguar. The Belizean Rum even has a festive theme song that celebrates its patriotism; it was composed by Belizean Calypso King/bruk-down/soca artist Lord Rhaburn.

Three months in the making, with so much inspiration and motivation, the hard workers at Travellers were proud to present the new “Belizean Rum” which will be available countrywide in the 1.75 liter bottle, 1 liter bottle, 750ml bottle and the 250ml bottle.
