Midnight Shooting Leaves One Man Dead, Police seek Two Person of Interest

San Pedro Police are looking for two person of interest in the shooting incident that took place on Sea Grape Drive last night on Saturday, July 8, 2017. San Pedro Police responded to reports  and arrived at the scene at 11:18p.m. where they found the lifeless body of an unidentified male.

According to Police reports, the body was seen with gunshot woulds to the left cheek, the top of the head and abdomen. The body was transported to the San Pedro Poly Clinic where a medical officer pronounced him dead. The body was later transferred to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital in Belize City for a post mortem examination

Investigations continue and the identity of the male has not been released. Any information that can assist the San Pedro Police regarding this homicide will be greatly appreciated; please contact San Pedro Police at 206-2022 or call 911.


Update Monday, July 10, 2017: San Pedro Police has identified the murder victim as 16-year-old Julian Tun.

Tun is no stranger to police, in June 2016, he was charged with 4 counts of attempted murder, 2 counts of dangerous harm, 4 counts of use of deadly means of harm, 2 counts of wounding, 1 count of possession of an unlicensed firearm, and possession of unlicensed ammunition. On Friday, June 17, he was caught fleeing from a shootout after he shot a Police Officer and tried to kill a suspected member of the George Street Gang, right in front of the Queen Street Police Station.

San Pedro Police have since detained nine persons for questioning in connection with the murder, but no charges have been set on any of the detained persons.
