San Pedro Police has confirmed that Oscar Guerra, resident of San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize and proprietor of My Secret Deli on Caribena Street, has been arrested and charged for the rape of a minor. The female minor was accompanied by an adult to the San Pedro Police Station where she reported that 55-year-old Guerra has been sexually abusing her. Guerra was detained, arrested and charged with ‘rape of a minor’ and has been transported to the Hattieville Prison in the mainland.
Police also indicate that a second male minor has been arrested and charged for “unlawfull sexual intercourse with a minor” in connection with this same case. No more details are being released at the moment as investigations continue and the identity of the minor is being safeguarded. Guerra now waits a bail hearing and further court proceedings.

Oscar Guerra has been back on Ambergris Caye since Friday, October 6, out of jail from rape charges as he was offered bail by the supreme court. Guerra was granted bail of $10,000 by Justice Lord with the conditions that he must report to San Pedro Police every Friday, that he attends all Magistrate’s Court adjournments of his case, and he cannot go within 100 yards of the complainant or her family.
The 15 year-old, accompanied by her 25 year-old sister, went to the San Pedro Police Station and reported that on October 3, Guerra raped her.
