The Ministry of Education, Youth, Sports and Culture in collaboration with the National Institute of Culture and History (NICH) held a Dance Expo from November 22 to the 26. Dance X was taken to Orange Walk, Dangriga, San Ignacio and Belize City.
The San Pedro Dance Academy was invited to perform at the Bliss Institute of Performing Acts where they performed two dances, “La Pollera Colora” choreographed by Renan Azcorra and modified by Yakarelis Hernandez and “Rio” choreographed by Yakarelis Hernandez. The Dance Academy received a certificate of appreciation for the performance on Saturday, November 25, 2017.
Dance X 2017 featured performances by local and international dance companies from Belize, Mexico, USA and Cuba. Congratulations to the San Pedro Dance Academy.
