Belize has qualified to participate in the 23rd Central American and Caribbean Games in Female Beach Volleyball for the first time in history. The Central American and Caribbean Games will be held July 19 – August 3, 2018 in Barranquilla, Colombia. Belizean athletes are training and working hard as they go through the selection process to determine the final two athletes to represent Belize.
Participating countries in Female Beach Volleyball include Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Cuba, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, US Virgin Islands, Jamaica, Guadalupe, Cayman Islands, St. Lucia, St. Kitts & Nevis, Antigua & Barbuda, Grenada, Suriname and Dominica.
The Central American and Caribbean Games are a multi-sport regional championship event, held once every four years. Belize’s participation in these games is an important and significant step as we continue to work hard in advancing our level of performance internationally, and developing our athletes in both indoor and beach volleyball.
