The Belize Fisheries Department hereby reminds the PUBLIC that it will cease the issuance/renewal of fisher folk and vessel licenses for the year 2018 by April 30, 2018. This is an extension from the date that was stated in the Press Release for the opening of the renewal process in January. Furthermore, fishers are also advised that they must be in compliance with the following:
• Each vessel captain must comply with the filling of the Catch Log Book on every trip and submit to a fisheries officer out at sea or at a Fisheries Department office.
• All vessel captain/owner must comply with the vessel color – coding scheme.
• No permits to minors will be issued.
